There’s something special about summertime at Put-in-Bay. The breeze coming off of the Lake perfectly compliments the breathtaking sunsets. It just makes you want to spend the evening outside on a patio with great friends, great drinks and great food. Blu Luna knows this, and if you provide the friends, they’ll provide the patio and the best Italian food on the island.
All of your favorite Italian cuisine is available at Blu Luna. We recommend you start off with their incredible calamari. It’s expertly breaded and fried, then sprinkled with lemon and accompanied by their homemade marinara sauce. The Italian wedding soup will warm you up if it’s unseasonably chilly, and they have a variety of tantalizing salads with the freshest ingredients if you’re watching your waistline. The Penne alla Vodka and Luna’s Signature Lasagna are dinnertime favorites. So is their New York Strip, which just might be the best steak on the island. Just make sure to save some room for dessert, like the Italian classics tiramisu and cannoli. Or if you just some chocolate cake and ice cream, they’ve still got you covered at Blu Luna.
Blu Luna Martinis
No Blu Luna experience is complete without one (or more) of their signature martinis. You won’t believe some of the things they’ve come up with, like the Peanut Butter and Jelly martini or the Cucumber and Elderflower-tini. And if you don’t want to experiment too much, you can’t go wrong with their original Blu Luna Martini, a refreshing blueberry martini perfect for a summer evening at Put-in-Bay. The beer list is extensive too, so everyone will be able to find something they’ll enjoy.
Blu Luna is a great choice for a large group. The staff is here to make sure you have a fantastic experience. Tourists consistently review it as one of the best restaurants on the island, and with good reason. So get your friends together and have an unforgettable dining experience on the patio at Blu Luna!
Megan B: “A group of 12 stopped by here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We took up the entire bar outside and ordered food and mimosas/bloody Mary’s. Mike and Mitch were the bartenders working that morning and they were amazing! They were on point from the moment we sat down. Took our drink orders, then food, brought everything out without a wait, were kind and friendly – and didn’t mess up a single thing. They had to be the best bartenders I’ve ever seen in a situation like that! The food was fantastic – it’s a great place for breakfast! And the morning drinks were perfect. Couldn’t say enough good things about this place.”
Holly L: “Blu Luna was a gem. Fabulous food! Stephanie was an excellent waitress. Friendly and most helpful. Ate there several times. Always friendly and helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere, but professional! If they weren’t 400 miles away I would eat there regularly. Maybe a reason to return! Thanks for the great meal! Casual setting.”
Sarah I: “Came into Blu Luna to get out of the rain and have some dinner. When I arrived the restaurant was nearly full (10 or more tables) and there was just one server and a hostess to help her (Eeek!) They both did a fabulous job of getting everyone settled in (we all came in nearly the same time) and getting orders taken as fast as they could. The view of the lake and storm was beautiful from inside the restaurant. The food was well worth the short wait. The hot chicken wings were the perfect amount of heat an amazingly crispy. The caesar salad was also very delicious and tasted fresh.”
