Each season on Put-in-Bay, the majority of visitors coming in April is for fishing. These men and women oftentimes are from Wisconsin, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and more.  They come to our great place in Lake Erie to catch a trophy fish.  With a moniker like the “Walleye Capital of the World,” its no wonder fisherman flock here.

The Western Basin of Lake Erie is among the most fertile fisheries in the World.  Charter boat fishing has been a popular way for visitors to experience the action.  These charter captains have vessels that depart from Put-in-Bay on day trips.  Additionally, both charter and head boats disembark from Port Clinton, Ohio. Both provide a chance to catch a monster.
