Awesome Family Getaway
We brought our family to Put-in-Bay for this past week in July and had such a fun time! We got this special deal of a free night if we bought 5 midweek, so that was a sweet start. All the paperwork and stuff was pretty easy before arrival. It was nice not to have to check in somewhere and go right to our house and punch in the code. It was clean and a little stuffy but the A/C did a great job to cool it down (July, yeah, we needed A/C). The pool was literally right across the street from us, we were in “Island Club House #22”. Note: Please change your names to something more fun, like Cool Poolside House or The Fun Zone or something. We cooked out two nights with steaks and BBQ on the grill outside which was super convenient. They had your basic plates and silverware and and stuff but we brought disposable so we didn’t have to clean. And we used a golf cart for a couple days to check out all the fun stuff on the island. The kids loved the putt-putt and the Wild Tuesdays event at the nature center, and the adults enjoyed the bands downtown and the “bar crawl” (thanks Mom for staying home with the kids!). It was a really great time and we will be back next year for sure. New staycation destination. Special shout outs go to Mary (taxi driver extrordinare), Dottie (she hustles all over and helped us out constantly and seems to be there like 24/7), and Tracy in the office for answering all our silly questions. The consensus amongst our group was 5 stars!!!
