The Doller Estate is the site of an incredible Victorian mansion on Put-in-Bay, and it can host your wedding reception, family reunion, or company outing with ease. Parties up to 400 guests will fall in love with the backyard gazebo and the splendid views from the lakeside front yard. This building steeped in history will serve as the perfect backdrop for your event. Put-in-Bay Winery’s in-house catering service can cater your birthday party or other events for 15-60 guests.
One of the specialties of Put-in-Bay Winery’s catering service is exotic gourmet pizzas. Put-in-Bay Winery uses only the finest ingredients to make their pizzas. Sun-dried tomato pesto, chevre goat cheese, red peppers, and Portabella mushrooms make up their veggie goat cheese pie. The Gorgonzola and Pear pizza is made with world-famous Bosc pears, fresh pesto, and candied pecans along with the aforementioned Gorgonzola melted to perfection. They also have pepperoni and cheese pies. While these are standard flavors, there’s nothing standard about their preparation and quality. The garden-fresh basil chiffonade will make that immediately apparent before you even take a bite.
This is a winery, so of course, you can also expect exceptional wine and cheese. The cheese and meat plates make for the perfect starters for your event. You’ll find Vlaskaas Gouda, English Cotswold with chives, and Bellavitano aged in Merlot, pepperoni, summer salami, strawberries, crackers with herbs, and more.

Testimonials
Joan M: “The tour of the mansion is one great way to enjoy the winery and tour together! We learned lots about the Doller family and the history of the home and tour of the entire Estate while enjoying the tastes of the wines throughout the home. The ice sailboats are interesting and could travel up to 100 miles per hour. You can even stay at the home if you want! There are several rooms upstairs. Make sure you pay attention to the paintings on the roof of the gazebo painted on the ceiling. Very interesting. I loved the Chocolate Covered Strawberries. A great finish to a great day. The celebration is my favorite wine.”
Rachel T: “My husband and I visited this winery during the Christmas in July weekend. We tried the 4 Flight Sampler for $9 and the small cheese plate. The wines and atmosphere made this a memorable stop on our trip to Put-In-Bay. The grounds were beautiful and offered many shady places to relax and enjoy our wine and cheese. One other benefit to this venue was the air-conditioned indoor space. I would recommend this winery to anyone visiting the island. Sample away! We didn’t try one that we didn’t like!”
Ashley L: “I am a frequent visitor of the Lake Erie islands and I absolutely love The Put in Bay Winery. It is a quiet location off the main strip of the downtown area. It overlooks the lake and the docks which provide for spectacular views of the sunsets. Their backyard is spacious and adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The staff is beyond friendly; Mary Lou is incredibly helpful. From time to time they even have live music outside. Whether you are looking to share a few bottles with friends or just trying something new, the Put in Bay winery is a must-visit for a peaceful afternoon.”
