BOATERS’ NEW YEARS AT THE BAY – September 13th-14th, 2019
The Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to enjoy Monte Carlo casino style gambling on this mock New Years evening. The fun takes place in downtown Put-in-Bay on Delaware Avenue from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Saturday night where they close off the street and set up the tables. ANNUAL PUT-IN-BAY FIRE DEPARTMENT CLAMBAKE – September 14th, 2019
The Annual island style Clam Bake is sponsored by the Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department. The event is held Saturday afternoon on September 14th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fire Station on Concord Avenue behind the Senior Center. The Clambake “plate” includes a dozen clams, 1/2 chicken, corn, potato, fresh fruit and vegetables. Carry out is available and encouraged! HALFWAY TO ST PATTYS DAY WEEKEND – September 20th-21st, 2019
Come visit us for the Annual celebration of the half-way mark to St. Patrick’s Day. Join in the fun and festivities and celebrate the Irish with Put-in-Bay businesses promoting Irish food and beverages. There is a traditional Irish parade at 1:45 PM on Saturday that kids and adults enjoy with most dressing up in green or in traditional Irish garb. Thsi is one of our hot September events. ANNUAL MILLER BOAT LINE 5k RACE – September 21st, 2019
Join more than 700 runners in the Annual 5k at Put in Bay on Saturday. This is a challenging race around the most picturesque island in Lake Erie. Miller Boat Line sponsors this 5k race and One Mile Family Fun Walk that begins and ends at the Boathouse Restaurant in downtown Put-in-Bay. Winner trophies are very unique and true keepsakes. PUT-IN-BAY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS 5 ALARM TEXAS HOLD EM TOURNAMENT – September 21st, 2019
Island firefighters hold the annual Texas Holdem Tournaments to raise funds for equipment upgrades for the island department. Two tournaments, one at 12:00 PM and the second at 6:00 PM are held at the fire station on Concord Avenue. Refreshments will be available. ANNUAL PUT-IN-BAY ROAD RACE REUNION – September 24th-27th, 2019
The Put-in-Bay Road Race Reunion is an opportunity to proverbially travel back in time to the 1950’s and 60’s. You’ll see vintage automobiles racing around the island just as they did back then, on the public roads. The roads will be closed off and lined with bales of hay, for a fully authentic experience. TAILGATE WEEKEND – September 27th-29th, 2019

The games are on every weekend on the island of course, but this tailgate weekend in particular, football takes the focus thanks to the Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers. Miller Ferry
The Miller Ferry Boat Service provides passenger and vehicle transportation across Lake Erie to South Bass Island and Middle Bass Island for September events. Mainland port is located in Port Clinton, Ohio at the end of Catawba Point. A leisurely 18 minute ride is all it takes to traverse to Put-In-Bay. Moreover, passengers can opt to sit on the open air deck, or take refuge in the small shelter house. Also, guests can opt to bring their vehicles and trailer on the Miller Ferry.
