OSU Marching Band Returning To PIB
The Ohio State Marching Band, “The Best Damn Band in the Land,” will be coming to Put-in-Bay on Sunday, September 3rd! Those who were on the island several years ago when the band was here will remember it as one of the most exciting days on the island. The band is returning this time to celebrate the “Bicen+10,” the 210th anniversary of the Battle of Lake Erie.
Make plans now for a family-friendly, fun-filled day that kicks off with the band arriving in the afternoon at the Miller Ferry’s downtown dock and then parade along Bayview Ave. and in the downtown for all visitors to see. The band will reconvene later in the day for a march to Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial where they will perform a concert on the lawn. A fantastic fireworks display will follow the performance shortly after dusk. The band will depart the island on the Jet Express in the evening.
