Autumn’s Delight
By Amanda Downey
Autumn’s color palette of golden tones and crimson foliage indicates a period for self-reflection and rejuvenation, allowing us to tap into our capacity for transformative growth and development.
Autumn’s arrival beckons us to step into a season of peaceful contemplation, where the kaleidoscope of changing leaves inspires us to quiet our hearts and embrace the promise of new beginnings.
Autumn’s gentle whisper inspires us to embrace serenity. Savor the season of transformation. The warmth of autumn air, the cool nights snuggled up with a great book. And your favorite soothing drink.
Unlock the enchantment of the season, embracing transformation and rejuvenating your spirit. Feel the thrill of childhood wonder, leaping into a crunchy leaf pile or crafting a vibrant pumpkin. This season ignites my soul, fuelling creativity and joy, and I hope it sparks the same magic within you, dear friends.
Letter to the Editor
Put-in-Bay Township Park District has a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase 11 acres of the Duff Farm property which includes 5 acres of an historic, 100-year-old vineyard.
The cost is $1,100,000.00. The purchase agreement expires December 31, 2024. The Park District has a 1 mill levy on the November ballot. The levy will permit the Park District to obtain a loan to finance the purchase of this extraordinary site.
If the Park District acquires the land, the site will be developed as an historical, working vineyard with educational interpretive signage showing how a vineyard is maintained and operated and how the grape industry has been so important to the history of the Lake Erie Islands.
The approval of the voters of this one-mill levy is absolutely crucial to the acquisition of this vineyard.
We hope you agree that this property is worth preserving, and you are willing to invest in this purchase by saying YES to this levy, Issue 18.
Thank You,
– Kelly Faris
