Here’s a fascinating fact about Put-in-Bay that we’d bet you didn’t know. The island is home to more antique vehicles per capita than anywhere else on Earth! With that in mind, there’s no doubt you’ll catch a glimpse of a few over the weekend. If you love old cars though, you can’t miss the Antique Car Museum. At the Antique Car Museum you can see some of the finest vintage vehicles on the island, as well as old gasoline memorabilia and antique road signs.

The Antique Car Museum is dedicated in the memory of Charles “Skip” Duggan. He started the famous island tradition of the Sunday afternoon Antique Car Parade across the island. The parade is a beloved Put-in-Bay staple, and everyone who has a vintage car up on the island is invited to join in on the event. “Skip” also curated the collection of vintage automobiles at this museum. You’ll see a Dodge touring car, Model T’s, vintage taxis and more, lovingly maintained by the Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center. The Antique Car Museum is, believe it or not, a FREE attraction at the Perry’s Cave complex. Stop in after you navigate the twisting Fort aMaze’n life size maze, or your round of mini-golf at the War of 18 Holes mini-golf course. There’s no reason not to stop in and check out the Antique Car Museum!

Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center

You could really spend the whole day with your family at Perry’s Cave Family Fun Center. The highlight is, of course, Perry’s Cave itself, but don’t forget about Gemstone Mining, where you can take a bag of rough and sift through it like the prospectors of old. Unlike those prospectors from history however, we’d be willing to bet you’ll find something memorable every single time! And with DanDee’s Snack Shack on site, you don’t even have to worry about lunch. So grab a juicy burger and a popsicle and spend an unforgettable summer’s day at Perry’s Cave!
