The parade begins at 1:45 pm, sponsored by Hooligans Irish Pub. Of course, the parade features a drum and bagpipe marching band. Children and adults alike enjoy dressing up in green to join in the fun. Or, come dressed to impress in your traditional Irish garb. Annual Put-in-Bay Fire Department Clambake

Crazy for a Clambake? Grab a plate full of fabulous fresh food for a great cause. It’s the Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual Island style Clambake! This annual event is held Saturday September 21st from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the fire station on Concord Avenue. You’ll find the fire station directly behind the senior center. The Clambake serving includes a dozen delicious clams, half chicken, corn, potato, fresh fruit, and vegetables. Tickets are just $25 per person. Love to run? Bring your running shoes to Put-in-Bay for the Annual Miller Boat Line 5k! Join over 800 other runners in a scenic race to the finish. They throw their annual tailgate party to help raise money for important causes all around the Lake Erie Islands. It’s a marquee late-summer event that is always a blast!

The Wake

For over 35 years, The Wake has been a Put-in-Bay tradition, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. The purpose of the event is to celebrate and commemorate the closing of another great summer season on the islands. The events of The Wake itself are held at the Round House Bar and Park Hotel on Saturday night. The hotel becomes haunted for the evening.
