The Miller Ferry has updated their Spring schedules again and we are happy to share them with you. All Miller Ferries depart the mainland from Catawba Island. To get to the ferry dock, take the exit for OH Route 53 North off of OH Route 2.
The ferry ride to Put-in-Bay is part of the whole travel adventure and takes about 18 minutes. Cars, motorcycles, RVs, boats, trailers and bicycles are all welcome aboard the ferry. As noted, the Miller Ferry is the only ferry service that takes both passengers and vehicles to the Bass Islands. For vehicle information and large vehicle reservations, call their office at 800-500-2421.
On the mainland side, the Miller offers free parking in multiple lots. Rental transportation, including bicycles and golf carts, are available hourly near the dock or reserve your golf carts in advance through your lodging provider. Your best bet for a taxi ride from the Miller Ferry to your rental home, hotel, Put-in-Bay resort, or condo is to call Island Club Taxis at 419-285-5466 right before the ferry lands to get a private ride.
Miller Ferry offers some very low fares: One Way Adult $7.50, Children (6-11 yr) $1.50, Children under 6 ride free, Bikes $2. When the main summer season begins after June 7th, ferry trips will most likely be every half hour as usual.
