Island Artist Paddle Auction Raises Funds
More than 15 talented Lake Erie Island artists have transformed ordinary paddles into extraordinary works of art as part of the Island Artist Paddle Auction, a unique fundraiser now underway to benefit two important community organizations.
The online auction, which runs through June 14, features a collection of one-of-a-kind hand-painted paddles inspired by Put-in-Bay, Lake Erie, Ohio landmarks, island life and nautical themes. Each paddle showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of local artists who generously donated their time and talents to support the cause.
From sailboats and lighthouses to island landscapes and Lake Erie scenes, the paddles offer something for every art lover, boater and island enthusiast. No two pieces are alike, making each paddle a unique keepsake that celebrates the spirit and beauty of the Lake Erie Islands.

Benefitting the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center and the Put-in-Bay Police K-9 Fund, helping support environmental education, wildlife conservation efforts and the island’s police K-9 program.
Organizers are encouraging residents, visitors and supporters of the islands to browse the collection and place bids on their favorite pieces.
