The Volleyball Battle on Put-in-Bay is a day long volleyball event that draws over 2,500 players to the island! This is a massive event with teams from all over descending on the Bay to compete and have a great time playing the sport they love. The organizer of the event is Lakeview Beach Volleyball. Teams of any ability level can enjoy this event. The skill divisions are set up as Open, A, BB, B, C and Recreational. Note that, according to the Lakeview Beach Volleyball website, “the “Rec” division is a beginners or “fun division” where the rules are relaxed. If your team is competitive to a point that you will be complaining about “setting hands” and “lifts” then you will need to register in the competitive divisions (C or higher)” This excerpt should give a good idea of the distinction between the divisions.
