And it’s another gardening season in the books! Thanks so much for following our events and programs as your support means so much! Highlights this year included planting the park flower baskets (with the associated headaches of a very hot dry summer!), an intriguing tour of one of the largest indoor greenhouses in North America, a watercolor workshop with a favorite local artist, a very successful HOMES TOUR and fundraiser on a perfect summer day, lessons on orchid care, a hands-on tour/tree health discussion with an expert arborist and an end of season tour and potluck at Heineman Winery. Despite the continued gorgeous fall weather (lucky us!!), the PIB Garden Club bids farewell to another informative and memorable year. Many lessons were learned, friends were made, and fun was had!
Not to rest on our laurels though, this group is already weighing in on 2026 planting options as well as new and engaging programs to interest our membership. Stay tuned as we will be sharing our upcoming program plans in early spring. We may be taking a break from our regularly scheduled meetings, but you can always remain up to date on all our happenings by logging on to our website, www.putinbaygardenclub.com. The website is full of info and pictures documenting all our events and efforts…including how to become a member (wink, wink) and share in the fun!
