Cindy C: “I was a bit skeptical about a guest house instead of a hotel, but I would recommend this place for sure. The Ahoy Inn is for couples only so that was a big plus. We spent a Sunday night so it was much quieter than the weekend. We had the English Room. It was all decked out in London decorations. It was on the first floor so, although we didn’t have any issues at all, you may want a second floor. We felt so at home. It is just steps away from the main drag so we walked or biked. They have complimentary bikes and you can rent golf carts too. The room came fully equipped. Loved it so much we plan to go back in the fall. Give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed.”
Dede H: “We enjoyed our stay at the Ahoy Inn so much, they had our golf cart ready (for the day we used it till 9:00 P.M.), the room had a nice king size bed in it and was very clean. I had left my bag and purse on the island cab going back to Port Clinton, not realizing it till I got over there. My phone was in it as well, the ticket area called the Ahoy for me, he said it was not on the porch but called the cab and they had turned it in. The owner said he was coming to Port Clinton and said he would bring it to me, which I thought was so nice for him to go out of his way to retrieve it and bring it over to avoid another round trip to Put-In-Bay for me. Kudos to the gentleman and his wife who made this a great stay. We will always be staying there in the future.”
Kris H: “This was our first time to Put in Bay and the location of this hotel was perfect! It is a very short walk to many bars/restaurants and it’s only a couple of blocks from the main downtown area. Close to the action but far enough away that it wasn’t loud at night when we wanted to sleep. Breakfast really isn’t included since all you get is a prepackaged muffin, but there are several good places to eat breakfast less than a block away. It was convenient to rent one of their golf carts, but if you want a cart with more power there is a rental place a few buildings down for the same price that will let you keep it overnight in case you want to keep the golf cart past 9 pm. Overall, an excellent choice, and we will definitely stay here again when we come back.”
